Aniskovich to Speak at Disease Management Colloquium
New Haven, CT - January 8, 2008 - Kevin Aniskovich, President and Chief Executive Officer of Intelecare Compliance Solutions, Inc., will be addressing The Eighth Disease Management Colloquium, sponsored by Department of Health Policy, Jefferson Medical College. The Colloquium is being held May 19 - 21, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn's Landing, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Entitled, "Effectively Increasing Patient Adherence as a 360 Degree Approach," Aniskovich will speak on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 3:15 PM EST. "The presentation deals with the transition from failed adherence strategies to an 'Adherence 2.0' standard predicated upon integrated patient-centric offerings that increase engagement, drive retention and enable positive behavioral changes," states Aniskovich. "All too often we seek to address matters of non-adherence or non-compliance on a condition by condition basis, ignoring certain external factors including genetics, nutrition and environment. Elevating adherence solutions based on individuals instead of the masses is the main premise behind Adherence 2.0 measures," concluded Aniskovich.
About the Disease Management Colloquium
The 8th Disease Management Colloquium will tackle DM initiatives in health systems, at the employer and plan level, within healthcare providers and in freestanding disease management enterprises. It will present case studies of disease management efforts in a variety of settings. It explores the role of disease management as it affects Medicare, Medicaid, the commercially insured, and the under- and uninsured; the role of evidence-based medicine; the use of incentives for physicians and consumers; new tools and techniques; innovations by health plans, disease management companies and the community; and key legislative and policy issues affecting the future of disease management.
The Colloquium seeks to better educate government agencies, the health care industry (including health plans and providers), employers, and the general public about the important role disease management programs play in improving health care quality and outcomes for persons subject to chronic conditions.
